Dr. Zafer Kanyilmaz was born in Sakarya,Turkey in 1974. He completed his primary and secondary education in Sakarya. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of  Dentistry in 1996 and opened his practice in the same year in Caddebostan, Istanbul. Dr. Zafer Kanyilmaz served as a lecturer in the Department of Dentistry and Treatment of Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry between 1997 and 2005. At the end of his time as a lecturer, he completed his PhD with his doctoral thesis titled "Evaluation of the amount of mercury released from amalgam restorations as in vivo with Dentin bonding applied to their surfaces and not applied", and got the title of Phd in 2005. Dr. Zafer Kanyilmaz worked in the Dental Service of Istanbul Gata Haydarpasa Training Hospital between 2007 and 2008 due to his military service. He was awarded the Diploma of Restorative Dental Treatment Specialist in 2011 from  Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry.

This year he completed his 27th year in his practice in Caddebostan, Istanbul, where he continues to work.
